Having grown up in a Caribbean household, Suki (founder of Hungry Buddhas) who is of Jamaican, Ghanaian and Sierra Leonean descent met her fiancée Johnny who is a British-born Chinese.
Food has always been a staple in both Suki's and Johnny's lives and the idea of Hungy Buddhas originated from combining their love for food and cultures together.
Hungry Buddhas not only showcases an unique Afro-Asian cuisine but also reflects upon the life, family and story of both Suki and Johnny.
